Not Your Everyday Nap Mat
My friend Jaime needed a nap mat for her daughter for preschool rest time. I love the fabric on this nap mat; it's so girly and fun. Minky fabric is pretty slippery when sewing. But other than that, the pattern was a breeze. Speaking of pattern, I found a free one online I kind of liked but I wasn't sold on it. I modified it a bit and came up with this:
I used a foam insert instead of batting to add extra cushion. I also finished one length of the mat with velcro, so the foam can be easily removed before washing.
Thanks for looking!
Jenny :)

I'd wanted a sewing machine for ages. I had so many plans of what I could make with it and knew I would teach myself to use it it like a pro.
KT bought me one for my birthday - 15 months! ago and it's been out of the box to look at and put away again - you've inspired me to get it out and at least admire it again ;)
