Brad had a pair of jeans that weren't long enough so I used them to make these pants for Kate (#25 from the Ottobre Spring '08 magazine) last night and today. Hmm. They're kind of cute from the side and front, but the back pockets are sooo big, that they look pretty gangster. I couldn't figure out how to do the "bellow pocket" so I did an asymetrical one on the front instead. And I don't think I did the waistband right either. But I did do a decent job on the fly and zipper which was a huge improvement from the princess dress. Anyway, definitely not my favorite thing I've made, but I don't hate it enough to discard it. We're off to sushi with the gangster pants :)

I made these pants for Kate last night from the Ottobre Spring 2008 magazine. They are so stinking cute. The only thing I am not pleased with is the waistband is a little large. But the sash helps cinch it. Kate's between sizes right now, but I went ahead and made her the larger European size (92) because I figure she could get more use out of them. Especially since the poplin fabric is so light weight, she really won't be able to wear them until at least April. Take a look!
